‘Time to be extra careful’: Data shows car crash risk increase of 65% on Sunday after Thanksgiving

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Data from a technology company that tracks commercial fleet safety, Samsara, revealed that vehicle crash risk increased by 65% on the Sunday following Thanksgiving, making today one of the most dangerous days for road travel this year.

The heightened risk comes as AAA reports nearly 82 million Americans are traveling at least 50 miles from home during this holiday period, marking an increase of over 1.5 million travelers compared to last year.
