Clay County, FL – A quick-thinking bank teller is being credited with stopping a convincing scam Thursday after noticing a customer attempting to withdraw thousands of dollars under suspicious circumstances.
According to the Florida Sheriffs Association, the teller discreetly slid a handwritten note to the customer that read, “You’re being scammed.” The warning immediately halted the transaction and prompted a call to law enforcement.
