Jacksonville mother, 2 children still looking for place to live after apartment fire

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Sequenya “Queen” Akins and her two young children are still homeless after losing their apartment at the Desert Winds complex off Atlantic Boulevard to a fire.

Queen and her children, aged 6 and 10, are currently staying in a motel as they search for where to live.

A local church has reached out to News4JAX, offering a home for Queen and her kids to live in as they look for something more permanent in the future…
