JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Something that started as a temporary helping hand has turned into a lifeline for hundreds of families.
Bishop Rudolph McKissick Jr. at The Bethel Church in Downtown Jacksonville started the church’s snap store to provide food relief to families during the government shutdown.
Since opening the store in November, McKissick Jr. said they’ve served more than 1,000 families. The store was originally going to stay open just through the holidays, but after seeing the need, he’s decided to keep the store’s doors open…
