JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville drivers heading north on I-295 at the Dames Point Bridge faced a major traffic backup Sunday night following a deadly crash, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Florida Department of Transportation cameras showed traffic at a standstill at 8 p.m. as first responders assessed the scene and debris littered the road. The roadway remained closed for hours, with traffic eventually being detoured onto Merrill Road, according to FHP.
