CLAY COUNTY, FL – A 63-year-old man is facing multiple attempted murder charges after deputies say he opened fire on a car carrying three teenagers during a road rage incident that unfolded across several miles in Clay County.
According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting occurred on December 17, 2025, after multiple 911 calls reported an ongoing road rage situation involving gunfire between a black pickup truck and a black sedan. The incident began near the intersection of Branan Field Road and Blanding Boulevard and continued as both vehicles traveled through the area.
Deputies were first directed to the parking lot of HCA Middleburg Emergency, where they found an 18-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.
