‘He was everything to me’: Sister of 16-year-old fatally shot in Sandalwood remembers baby brother

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The family of a 16-year-old boy who was fatally shot was mourning his loss as they prepared for his funeral.

Amir Bostic, described by family as an A-B student with dreams of becoming a tattoo artist, died after he and two others were shot and rushed to a hospital.

“Amir was the joy of my family. Amir was the glue to our family,” said his sister Zakiya Bostic. “He was my baby brother. We shared the same mom. He was everything to me. We were very close. This is my first best friend.”…
