Jonas Brothers rock Daily’s Place before concert venue goes dark

Daily’s Place, the downtown Jacksonville concert venue, is shutting down for at least a few years while construction transforms the adjacent EverBank Stadium, but the Jonas Brothers and a packed house couldn’t let the place go quietly.

On a night where temperatures were in the low 40s and most fans favored parkas over fashion, the JoBros played a bonus show on their Greetings From Your Hometown Tour, which actually ended earlier in the month. This show was added to the tour as a grand send-off for the venue, which will go dark for at least two years during the Stadium of the Future construction project. The venue itself won’t change, but officials chose to mothball it for at least two years while the stadium is renovated.

Onstage, Nick and Joe split nearly all of the vocals, often switching back and forth on the same song. Joe, who doesn’t play guitar onstage, comes across as the frontman, but all three carry their weight. They play in front of a crack live band, highlighted by a four-piece horn section that roamed the stage throughout the show and looked to be having a lot of fun…
