Plans for a Parker’s Kitchen gas station and convenience store are moving forward in Yulee’s Wildlight community, the northernmost location in Florida for the Savannah-based chain.
On Feb. 3, the Nassau County Development Review Committee granted technical approval to a site engineering plan for the proposed store, a signal to department heads that it meets county requirements before requisite permits are issued.
The proposed 5,175-square-foot store is planned at William Burgess Boulevard off Florida 200 in the Crossings at Wildlight shopping center, near Publix. Plans include eight gas pumps with 16 fueling stations. Kimley-Horn & Associates of Jacksonville is handling the engineering work.
Ahead of the DRC recommendation, Parker’s Kitchen obtained an environmental resource permit from the St. Johns River Water Management District on June 24, which is designed to ensure the project will not negatively affect water quality, increase flooding or damage wetlands…
