Road rage, a shootout and a killing, what happened in 8 hours

In a span of close to eight hours across different parts of town, Jacksonville first responders dealt with three shootings despite the cold: One was a homicide, another a road rage and the third a shootout between a victim and apparent robbers.

Following are limited details released by the Sheriff’s Office overnight about each of the Feb. 3 shootings:

4:15 p.m. ― Dispatch received several calls about a shooting in the 6200 block of Catoma Street off 118th Street. A male victim was located along the side of the roadway dead from at least one gunshot wound. A potential suspect and multiple witnesses were taken in to be interviewed. Several evidence markers were seen placed in the middle of the street.
