JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A woman who was injured in a shooting Wednesday night said that she and two relatives were shot after they went to break up a fight near the intersection of Wisteria Street and Begonia Road.
The woman, who spoke off camera Thursday after leaving the hospital, said she was inside her home when she heard a group of girls fighting outside. She ran to the scene to break up the altercation, she said, and was shot along with two relatives and a 17-year-old.
“The initial investigation shows that a large group of people met up at this location in reference to a fight, to fight each other over a romantic relationship,” Lt. Frederick Dash of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said…
