The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is taking proactive steps to prevent violence by delivering intervention notifications to youth identified as at risk for gang or group-related activity. A Facebook post on the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Facebook page notes that the initiative was created a decade ago by then-Assistant Chief T.K. Waters, now Sheriff.
