St. Johns businessman to get prison for embezzling, identity theft

A St. Johns County businessman faces years of prison time after admitting he embezzled hundreds of thousands of dollars from a window installation company he owned with partners.

John Lucidi, 45, pleaded guilty in federal court Feb. 5 to wire fraud, aggravated identity theft and filing a false tax return.

A plea agreement filed for that court date said Lucidi had embezzled at least $295,000 just in 2021 from the unnamed company, which appears to be a window and door business on Powers Avenue in Jacksonville. The company was ripped off over and over in more than 100 crooked transactions, the agreement said…
