Palm Springs Man is Accused of Electrical Material Theft Scheme

NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. — A Palm Springs man has been arrested and accused of participating in a fraudulent scheme involving the theft of thousands of dollars in electrical materials, according to the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO)

Jose David Davila, 37, was arrested Wednesday, February 18, and charged with two counts of organized trafficking in stolen property and two counts of theft.

According to the NCSO, the case started Tuesday when deputies received a report from a local electric supply store about a suspicious purchase. The company told the NCSO that Davila claimed to be employed by a local electrical company and placed an order for copper wire valued at more than $2,800. He requested the invoice be sent to an email address that was later found out to be fraudulent…
