Jacksonville restaurant known for healthy menu options closes abruptly

After two years, a Jacksonville restaurant closed abruptly as its owner plans to focus on its original Ponte Vedra Beach dining spot.

McFlamingo shut its doors permanently on March 8 at 13799 Beach Blvd., Suite 1, in the Hodges Plaza Outparcel shopping center on the Southside, owner Erik Osol confirmed to the Times-Union as he cleaned the restaurant.
