“A bakery would replace a former market and coffee shop in Downtown Jacksonville under a proposal on its way to the Downtown Investment Authority board,” reported the Jacksonville Daily Record this week. The bakery in question is From Butter With Love, the sourdough bakery that made a name for itself operating out of the Mossfire Grill until Mossfire closed. Now, it’s working to open a home of its own at 223 N Hogan St.
“We’ll opening up our artisanal bakery right across from City Hall,” John Ogle, who runs the bakery in partnership with Leah Ogle, told What Now on Thursday. “Depending on the buildout going smoothly, we hope to be open this summer.”
From Butter With Love got its start under a different name, Briecake Mood, the Ogles’ cheesecake brand, operating out of a commissary kitchen and selling cheesecake at farmers markets like the Murray Hill Farmers Market.
