JACKSONVILLE, Florida – A man was shot and killed by police Tuesday morning following an armed robbery call at a Jacksonville gas station.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred around 9:20 a.m. on March 17, 2026, at a Gate gas station on Spring Park Road near Bowden Road.
Authorities said a middle-aged man entered the store, waited for customers to leave, and then pulled out a handgun in front of employees. He ordered them to exit the store and call police, while also making statements indicating he wanted to harm himself…
