Jacksonville man pleads guilty to armed hotel robbery

JACKSONVILLE, Florida — A 28-year-old Jacksonville man has pleaded guilty to Hobbs Act robbery and brandishing a firearm during a hotel robbery, according to U.S. Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe.

Denzel Demoree’a Prince faces a minimum of seven years to life plus 20 years in federal prison, though his sentencing date has not been set. Court documents reveal that on September 8, 2025, Prince approached a vending machine at a Jacksonville hotel and later demanded money from an employee, who advised him to return in the morning. Moments later, Prince, wearing a green camouflage mask, brandished a firearm and threw a brick through the front desk window, as shown in surveillance footage.
