A Grand For A Hit: Florida Gang Associate Convicted In Failed Murder-For-Hire Plot

A Duval County jury has delivered a guilty verdict against Di’joure Renfrow for his role in a 2023 murder-for-hire shooting that targeted a Jacksonville home.

State Attorney Melissa Nelson announced that Renfrow was found guilty of Attempted Second-Degree Murder and Conspiracy to Commit Murder, a conviction that could land him in Florida State Prison for up to 20 years.

The violence erupted on May 19, 2023, following a dispute over an unpaid debt. Investigators found that co-defendant Shankia Ellington sent death threats to the victim after a sexual transaction went unpaid.
