Most people consider themselves lucky if they order French fries at McDonald’s and they are piping hot. A New York woman is not one of those people, as she is suing McDonald’s, claiming she suffered “severe personal injuries” caused by “extremely hot” French fries.
The woman claims that her injuries occurred at a McDonald’s restaurant across the street from Bryant Park in New York, when employees there “due solely… [to] the carelessness, recklessness and negligence” … “fail[ed] to provide [her] with a safe order of fries,” according to The Independent.
She should never have been “permitt[ed] and allowed[ed]” to “be served and consume extremely hot and overheated fries,” the lawsuit claims. It also argues that “the aforesaid occurrence was due solely by reason of the Defendants’ negligence” and “through no fault or lack of care” on her part, and that she was not adequately warned of “the dangers to be encountered” while eating the French fries…
