The Hudson County Schools of Technology (HCST) has earned local teacher of the year honors for the second consecutive year, with High Tech High School Earth and Environmental Science teacher Dr. Shelly Witham receiving that distinction.
“Dr. Witham embodies the passion and dedication required of a County Teacher of the Year. She is a mentor who leads by example, demonstrating how scientific inquiry can inspire civic responsibility,” HCST Superintendent Thomas Macagnano said in a statement.
“On behalf of myself and the entire Board of Education, congratulations to Dr. Witham on this well-deserved honor. This kind of recognition reflects the dedication our teachers bring to the classroom every day,” added HCST Board President John Minella.
