Center City Mall opened in 2009 at 301 Main Street in downtown Paterson, New Jersey. It’s a three-level shopping and entertainment building over its own parking garage.
The mall was the first phase of a redevelopment program valued at nearly $200 million. Apartments, offices, and a second parking garage were supposed to follow.
They never came. The 2008 crash was one reason the later phases stalled, and a 12,000-seat arena proposed in 2019 sought $40 million in state credits but never got built…
