2 busted for running a West New York drug ring, charges include money laundering

Two people were busted for running a West New York drug ring, with their slew of charges including money laundering, Hudson County Prosecutor Wayne Mello announced.

Yesterday, members of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics and Gangs Task Force and the West New York Police Department arrested two individuals following a narcotics investigation.

Roner Arias Ramos, 27, and Juliany Ortiz Yeje, 24, of West New York, are each charged with operating a narcotics facility, money laundering, possession with the intent to distribute (cocaine), possession with the intent to distribute (cocaine) within 1,000 feet of a school, possession with the intent to distribute (cocaine) within 500 feet of public property, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with the intent to distribute (promethazine), and possession (marijuana), Mello said in a statement.

They were arrested on 51st Street and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending their first court appearances. Arias Ramos faces additional narcotics offenses after being in possession of cocaine during his arrest…
