Newark’s New Jersey Institute of Technology opened the fall 2026 semester with its largest first-year class ever, according to NJIT News.
More than 1,900 incoming students joined the university, surpassing all previous first-year enrollment figures in the institution’s history.
The milestone comes as NJIT holds a total undergraduate population of around 12,266 students, per Niche’s college profile data, and carries a net annual price of roughly $17,313 for students receiving financial aid.
