Entry-level tech jobs have plummeted by nearly 50% in the Big Apple in recent years — and the situation isn’t much better for everything from business to entertainment and media, according to a dismal new study.
Postings in entry-level jobs in the computer and mathematical sector in New York City dropped 49% between 2022 and 2025, the most drastic decline in any occupational area, showed a report from the Center for an Urban Future, a New York-based think tank.
