JERSEY CITY (PIX11) — A person was shot near a Jersey City high school Friday afternoon, Mayor James Solomon announced.
The incident was reported one block away from Lincoln High School near the intersection of Brinkerhoff Street and Monticello Avenue, according to Solomon.

The person shot is alert and was sent to a local hospital, according to officials.
