Hoboken Charter School Executive Director Deidra Grode was recognized for her 25 years of service at last week’s HCS Board of Trustees meeting, where Mayor Emily Jabbour presented Grode with an a proclamation for her contributions to education.
“While founders reap the benefits of seeing something emerge from an idea and then grow, most things that are founded falter and fail,” Hoboken Charter School Board of Trustees Chair Mark Silberberg, also the school co-founder, said in a statement.
“That the Hoboken Charter School has grown and thrived for the past almost 30 years is due in no small part to those who have tirelessly committed themselves to sustaining our founding vision.”
