QUEENS – A man with a gun terrorized straphangers inside a Queens train station when he posed as if he was going to shoot riders during rush hour, the NYPD said.

At around 5 pm on January 23, a man covered with a face mask and hoodie, exited an E train at the Sutphin Boulevard-Archer Avenue Station. Cops said the man then pulled out a handgun and “stood in shooting stance on the train platform causing public alarm.”

No shots were fired and the gunman ran off in an unknown direction.

The suspect was caught on surveillance cameras coming out of the subway car. He was last seen wearing a dark winter jacket with a gray hoodie underneath. He also wore dark sweatpants with red graphics going down the left leg.

All calls are strictly confidential.
