Authorities are investigating after two people were shot, one fatally, in Newark Friday night. Newark police responded to the shooting at 11 p.m. on the 100 block of Dewey Street where officers found Jaquill D. Swain, 28, suffering from a gunshot wound, according to a statement Saturday from Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore Stephens and Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Frage.
