No such thing as a free lunch — but what about dinner?
Ask Tyra Saltus. The 25-year-old Queens woman was arrested this week after she was ID’d as one of two customers who allegedly met for dinner at Ruth’s Chris Steak House, a popular restaurant next to Roosevelt Field in the 600 Old Country Road office building, on Sunday January 14. Management says the couple left without paying the $190 bill.
And no tip!
But that’s not the worst part.
According to police, the whole affair began when Saltus and her buddy showed up, sat down and ordered drinks from the bar and a Porterhouse steak for 2 and Lobster Mac & Cheese and creamed spinach. Their waiter: Michael, a serious professional server, formerly of Vincent’s Clam Bar.

Video surveillance cameras showed the well fed couple leaving the restaurant at 9:57 p.m. and entering a black 2023 VW Jetta with NY license plates in the parking lot. Behind them: Michael the Waiter, in hot pursuit.
