The Jersey City Department of Health and Human Services is offering two new programs to local veterans: Pets for Vets and Veterans in Total Active Lifestyle (VITAL). “These important initiatives expand upon our commitment to providing veterans with the support and avenues essential to their success and well-being in civilian life,” Mayor Steven Fulop, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, said in a statement.
