U.S. gymnast Jordan Chiles has been keeping busy of late. On Friday, September 6, she was a guest of honor for the New York Mets as she threw the first pitch in their home game against the Cincinnati Reds.
Chiles also revealed via social media on Friday that she will be attending the New York Fashion Week. In a subsequent post, the 23-year-old made a massive announcement about her upcoming stint in one of the most esteemed fashion events on the planet.
As it turns out, Chiles will use that platform to launch what appears to be a new Nike shoe.
Chiles, a Nike-sponsored athlete, did not provide much information other than the fact that she’s “bringing something new.” In the third video in the post, however, the Olympic gold medalist provided a close-up look at the Nike kicks she was wearing. She included a shoe emoji in her caption, too, so it does seem like she has strongly hinted at an upcoming shoe launch.
Could Jordan have her own shoe from the biggest sportswear brand in the world? That would be massive.
