JERSEY CITY, NJ – Beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, September 30 until 8 a.m. Saturday, October 5, the right lane on Route 1&9 Truck southbound will be closed from the Communipaw Avenue Intersection to the Hackensack River Bridge to replace the sidewalk, curbs, and guiderail, officials have announced.
In addition, electrical work and foundations will be installed for future lighting improvements.

Two lanes of traffic will be maintained on Route 1&9 Truck southbound during the closure, and a temporary stop sign will be at the end of the ramp from Route 1&9 Truck southbound to Route 1&9 southbound/Communipaw Avenue.
The work is part of Contract 8B of the Pulaski Skyway rehabilitation project, which is being advanced through multiple construction contracts.
