Nebraska volleyball will close out its weekend against Rutgers.
If the Scarlet Knights want to pull off the upset, they have some history to make in Lincoln. They’ve only beaten the Huskers once through 15 matchups, and that was in 1978, before rally scoring even began in college volleyball. Since 2014, it’s been 14 straight for the Big Red.
The Huskers are looking to close out their three-match homestand before heading east for two games. Historically, they shouldn’t have any problems beating Rutgers. Though it’s one of the best serving teams in the conference with 1.77 aces per set, Nebraska is one of the best passing teams in the nation.
The Huskers are just too well-rounded to leave an opening for an opponent, especially at home, but they can never get too confident in the Big Ten. It’s a dogfight every match.
