Moses ‘Shyne’ Barrow Claims He Was ‘Set up to Be the Fall Guy’ in 1999 Nightclub Shooting Involving Diddy

Moses “Shyne” Barrow is claiming he was “set up” to be blamed in the 1999 New York nightclub shooting that involved Sean “Diddy” Combs .

In a Monday, October 21, trailer released for the upcoming Hulu documentary The Honorable Shyne , Barrow, 45, is seen telling the cameras, “I was absolutely set up to be the fall guy.”

The trailer also includes audio of Barrow revealing that he struggled to accept the fall out of the Manhattan event , which saw Barrow convicted of first-degree assault in 2001 and sentenced to prison time while his Bad Boy Records label boss, Diddy, 54, was indicted on two counts of criminal possession of a weapon but acquitted of all charges.

“One of the most difficult parts of it was watching everybody succeed,” Barrow, who spent 10 years in prison, says in the teaser. “You know, watching 50 [ Cent ].” (Barrow met 50 Cent, 49, at Diddy’s Manhattan recording studio Daddy’s House around 2000.)
