MONTCLAIR, NJ – A female suspect was recently arrested after an investigation uncovered new evidence into a bias incident. Montclair Police responded to Efi’s Gyro, a Greek restaurant located at 521 Bloomfield Avenue on March 11, at 5:50 PM, after a female suspect tore down lighting and Greek flags from the awning.

An employee, who was present during the incident, stated that she was approached by the suspect who began asking if the workers at the restaurant were aware that there was a “genocide going on”. She then repeatedly said that she did not support this, while holding the Greek flags in her hand. According to police officials, it was reported that the suspect also yelled out that “they’re killing children,” and asked the workers if they were proud of their heritage.
