Two men were arrested and charged in connection with a 2024 shooting that injured two people on 20th Avenue in Paterson, authorities said.
Shaheem Clark, 20, and Jakahri Smith, 22, both of Paterson, were taken into custody months apart, according to police. Clark was arrested on August 8 in Elmwood Park, while Smith was arrested on March 19 in Lynn, Massachusetts. Both are charged with attempted murder, kidnapping, carjacking, and multiple weapons offenses.
The charges stem from a March 18, 2024, shooting that occurred around 2:17 a.m. near 20th Avenue and East 33rd Street.
