On Friday, March 28, officers were called to a report of a serial shoplifter at the Passaic Avenue Shopping Plaza, Kearny police said.
Ashod Holt was filling large garbage bags with merchandise while his car idled in a fire lane outside, police said. Holt was confronted by officers as he exited the store, which led to a physical confrontation, police said.
