STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A group of more than a dozen parents and grandparents of a third-grade class at PS 8 distributed flyers outside the Great Kills school Friday calling on Department of Education officials to take action regarding what they allege to be safety concerns involving a student.
The flyers called on the school superintendent “to step in with a solution.”
The parents claim that a student in their child’s classroom was exhibiting behavior that they say raises concerns for the safety of the students and staff at the school.
