The Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons this month, and it faced another alarming incident on Monday.
The major airport servicing New York City has faced a number of equipment and staffing issues this month, resulting in many delays and cancellations. The issues got so bad that NBC News correspondent Tom Costello quoted an anonymous air traffic controller earlier this month who called the airport “not safe.”
