Prosecutor: Woman with Union City business charged with $220k email scam

A Brooklyn woman with a Union City business is charged with an over $220,000 email scam dating back to January 2022, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced.

On Monday, June 30th, members of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Investigations Unit arrested a New York woman after investigating a report of theft, Suarez said in a statement.

Zuly Ramirez Vargas, 28, of Brooklyn, New York, is charged with one count of theft by unlawful taking.

She was arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Secaucus and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending her first court appearance…
