Typically, there are plenty of stories to share about garbage truck accidents with a driver behind the wheel. But the truck that went on a rampage in New Jersey was driverless as it slammed into multiple cars and homes in an unlucky neighborhood.

A garbage truck went rogue in New Jersey, causing chaos in a New Milford neighborhood. Typically, these trucks are dangerous even with someone behind the wheel, but the one that smashed into cars and homes was driverless.

Milford police officers shared that a privately owned truck was conducting a garbage pickup on Eagle Avenue around 7:15 AM. The 46-year-old driver got out of the truck to assist with loading and claims that he put it in park first.

According to North Jersey, the truck engaged in drive mode without anyone inside. Then it started rolling down the road. Once the driver noticed that it was rolling away, he ran up to it, trying to get inside…
