A New Jersey man who stole $1.5 million in checks from Connecticut mailboxes has been sentenced to three years probation instead of the possible five years in federal prison he faced.
Ixavier Holman Jr., 34, of Secaucus, must spend the first six months of the probation under home confinement and was also ordered by a judge to perform 150 hours of community service, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for Connecticut said.
