Bayonne Man Sentenced For 2022 Jersey City Shooting

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- Last Thursday, a 33-year-old Bayonne, New Jersey, Man learned he will be nearly seventy years old when he gets out of prison after being sentenced in connection with a shooting that occurred in Jersey City in 2022.

According to Acting Hudson County Prosecutor Wayne Mello, on Thursday, August 14, 2025, Elijah Wilson, 33, of Bayonne, New Jersey, appeared in Hudson County Superior Court and was sentenced by Superior Court Judge Daniel DeSalvo for his conviction of Attempted Murder, Assault, and related Weapons charges.

Judge DeSalvo sentenced Wilson to 38 years in New Jersey State Prison. For the attempted murder charge, Judge Desalvo sentenced Wilson to 30 years in prison, which will run consecutively to 8 years in New Jersey State Prison for his conviction of certain persons not to possess weapons…
