N.J. man who shot himself in leg arrested on gun charges, cops say

A New Jersey man who allegedly shot himself in the leg and drove to the hospital was arrested after police found high-capacity firearms in his car, officials in Bergen County said Tuesday.

Joel Galvis, 40, of Jersey City, drove to Englewood Hospital about 6:30 a.m. on Friday seeking treatment for a bullet wound to his leg, authorities said.
