An Uber Eats bicycle delivery rider hit a Secaucus police officer in the head with a bike lock and vase after fleeing a scene where she had a dispute with a customer, authorities said.
On September 24th at approximately 4:14 p.m., Secaucus police responded to Osprey Cove East, located at 45 Meadowlands Parkway, on a report of a verbal dispute between a patron and an Uber Eats bicyclist, Police Chief Dennis Miller said in a statement.
The Uber Eats deliverista left the area prior to police arrival before being located in the area of 9th Street and Flanagan Way. She failed to stop for the police while riding her bicycle despite numerous instructions to do so.
The woman subsequently entered the TD Bank, located at 1262 Paterson Plank Road, and went behind the teller counter in an attempt to elude the police further…
