New York Families See SNAP Boost As Grocery Prices Climb 3.2%

While there has been a lot of bad news for SNAP recipients, there is a bit of good news. New York families will see an increase in their SNAP benefits. Grocery prices are extremely high and continue to increase. According to the federal government, the USDA says,

“Food prices rose faster than overall inflation. The CPI for all food increased 0.4 percent from July 2025 to August 2025. Food prices in August 2025 were 3.2 percent higher than in August 2024.”

That means New York families are paying more than last summer. Most people were complaining about food prices then; now they are even higher!
