Judge dismisses age plea: 15-year-old sentenced for murder and attempted murder

White Plains, NY (WRGB) — A 15-year-old from Stratford, Connecticut, has been sentenced to 13-years to life in state prison for the murder of 29-year-old Daquan Glenn in Doyle Park, Yonkers, last year. Westchester County District Attorney Susan Cacace announced the sentencing, which also includes an additional 1 – 3 years for a prior attempted murder, to be served consecutively. The defendant, who was 14 at the time of the offenses, was denied youthful offender status by Judge Helen Blackwood. With all the charges, the teen will be sentenced to at least 14 years in prison.

The incident occurred at approximately 5 PM on August 26, 2024, when the defendant shot at two victims in Doyle Park. Daquan Glenn was fatally wounded with multiple gunshots, including two to the head, and was pronounced dead at Saint Joseph’s Medical Center. The second victim survived a gunshot wound to the leg.
