New York City Councilwoman Alexa Aviles has emerged as the latest member of Gotham’s socialist millionaire’s club, a fact she’s worked to keep on the down low.
The Democratic Socialist of America member — and key ally of mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani who’s routinely been spotted on the campaign trail for him — declared $1.1 million to $1.8 million in assets in her latest annual disclosure.
The lefty lawmaker and her hubby apparently have no qualms about accumulating private property — they own a pair of Florida homes – on top of their main Greenwood Heights pad valued at $590,000 in Brooklyn, according to her 2024 filing with NYC’s Conflicts of Interest Board.
Aviles, 52, and Frankie Correa bought their first Florida condo in 2012 in a foreclosure sale for just $79,000, property records show, after the bank moved to seize the 2-bedroom home from 65-year-old Florida woman Danelia Fuste in 2009, at the height of the housing and financial crash that saw 10 million Americans lose their homes…
