The Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU) is endorsing Jim McGreevey for Jersey City mayor, exclaiming that he “has always stood shoulder to shoulder with working people.”
“Jim McGreevey has always stood shoulder to shoulder with working people. From his time as Governor to his years leading reentry support programs, he’s fought to make sure everyone has access to good jobs, fair pay, and dignity at work,” RWDSU President Stuart Appelbaum said in a statement.
“McGreevey understands that working families are being squeezed by rising costs, especially housing and childcare, and he’s committed to tackling those challenges head-on. He’ll invest in services that make it possible for parents to work and raise families in the city they love. Jim McGreevey doesn’t just talk about helping working people – he’s done it, and we know he’ll continue to fight for working people as Mayor of Jersey City.”
